Frances Vosseller., Palm Beach. Via Mizner, oil on board, 14 by 18 inches. Exhibited Society of Four Arts, 1949, second award.

Frances Vosseller was the wife of artist Harold Vosseller. The Palm Beach Daily News, March 29, 1949 in reviewing the 5th Annual Member’s Show of the Society of the Four Arts, noted, “Frances Vosseler (sic) won 2nd oil award for her portrayal of the Worth Avenue scene at the height of the season. Delightfully decorative, ‘Worth Avenue,’ pictured with its strolling groups peering into shop windows, children skipping blithely along and even a wee dog trotting after her mistress, is nostalgic, sensitive and emphasized with sudden splashes of color….”
