May Clinedinst was a Brooklyn, New York art teacher who retired to St. Petersburg. A painter of landscapes, still lifes, ship portraits, the harbors and fishermen of New England, and later, Florida. Clinedinst was active in the Art Club of St. Petersburg and a constant prize winner in West Coast art exhibitions. She is listed in Who’s Who in American Art.
