Vivian Davis, Fort Pierce, oil on board, 16 by 20 inches.
Vivian Davis taught art in Fort Pierce for 57 years. A student of history, Davis served as president of the Fort Pierce Historical Society. The Fort Pierce News Tribune (November 27, 1969), “Riverview Hotel brings early Florida history from the brush of Vivian Davis. Still standing on Second Street, this old building is now the Anglers Lodge. For a look at what it was in early days, see the show. Another Davis painting is the Sebastian Bridge, its curves pink against a pink sky…’I love that bridge’, said Vivian, ‘even just to sit beneath it and look….’”
